Bryan Murphy used an ability to teach as a means to live in interesting places in interesting times: Portugal, Angola, China, Hong Kong and Bulgaria among them. He then settled in Italy and started writing. His poems have appeared in Ariga, Bonfire, Envoi, Erosha, Mélange, Mudlark, Snakeskin, The Hiss Quarterly and elsewhere, including the 2001 Venice Biennale. He is a regular at the 'Poetry on the Lake' Festival on Italy's Lake Orta.
