0333 Hungry For Romance

Poem By Michael Shepherd

Mills and Boon, Mills and Boon,
ravish me - but not too soon...
Boon and Mills, Boon and Mills,
steam my specs with bedtime thrills...

Comments about 0333 Hungry For Romance

Hmmm very artistic and as feelings flowed and dealt with romance. Well done: -) dear poet, awesome verse.
Michael the trolls read them, that is why one of them gave you a low mark that is where they get there poetry from Warm regards AJS you (did get a ten for bravery)
I've just remembered: our grandparents used to call such books 'housemaids' reading'..
Footnote for our American cousins: Mills and Boon are the hugely successful publishers of bodice-rippers and their more genteel bedmates. Bedtime reading for the single bed. The saviours of not a few starving authors, google them for further details. Chapter One. 'It all started with this poetry website I was posting on, not too seriously. There was this chap, d'Arcy, who wrote rude comments about my poems. But there was something about him...' To be continued.
I have to give it a 10 for the flow and brilliant simplicity of this one, Michael, but pray tell, who are Mills and Boon? :) Thanks for a good read. David
