(1) Beyond Eden

Green leaves tap at my window like lost souls.
I trace their signatures upon the glass.
Dawn is only a few quatrains away.
I memorize the fragrance of spring rain.

WOW... green leaves tap at my window like lost souls......inspiring... elevating
A marvelous poem in imagery n words, enhanced by the take on Eden, Adam n Eve. Great freeverse style! Pls review my latest poem too.
Somewhere deep in the hills, a lyric bird Sings of the poignancy of humanness. The ever freshness of that ancient sound Brings back the sun that shone aeons ago. ................... .................A beautiful stanza... I loved the way you wait for time to slip and dawn to come, the last stanza is a perfect ending, a perfect beginning I must say........A beautiful deep write...
Intermingled in Nature when the soul sings the timeless measures of love in different births divine music reverberates through them. Dear Sandra, your poetry is superb, it stands as a class apart.
Absolutely beautiful! What a unique moment. Adam and Eve have blown it but Adam's love compels him to tenderly wipe away Eve's tear. After the fall, they were still in it together and so are all of us.
This write is poignant...reads sad...reads sweet...colourful words...picturesque poem canvas...10
Hi Sandra - evokes those times staddled between dark and dawn, when we sit alone waiting for the sands of time to run...minds wandering back through times lang syne, experience making sense of it all. The blessedness of imortal birdsong underlines the score perfectly. love Nomad

from grief to hope n from hope to grief how we all skip hop hop skip! ...n to have that support all through!

Somewhere beyond the hills I hear that bird's lyric song of souls.

We think 'the fragrance of spring rain' is pervading across these beautiful lines. We also perceive that 'a lyric bird' is the core of your poem, conveying much hope to you, reminding you of glorious, happy days in the past: '... brings back the sun that shone aeons ago.' Once again, dearest Sandra, your lines have touched our heart, adding to inspiration. Thanks a lot for sharing it. Maria

Oh Sandra! These beautiful word resonate so well with my six and a half decade old soul. Nothing compliments our senior years so much as a testament of inner peace such as the one you have given us with all your art and spirit.
