The sunshine and rain.
The hills and plains.
The moon and stars.
The wisdom of it all.
The shadow of sin.
The doubts and fears.
The jesters and kings
spiting in the wind.

Impact felt.a jumble of images brought together and tied with a bow. Well done.
Intriguing.... Lots of fleeting images, in many ways similar to 'God Bless America', but conveying a different sentiment. Like it.
As my father so profoundly says about life...'Nobody gets a free ride' I think that this tells so much of what he means by this Love duncan X
Succinct juxtapositions here. Cleverly crafted, utterly appropriate beating rhythm. t x
Hi David this was really good, I love this small poem. It was fun and light to read. You have good imagery and excellent rhyme stanza. Take care.
