Ode To 'Footprints In The Sand'

Poem By Saiyuri Oliver

The year of fire,
The year of invincible war.
And here we exchange
Hot words with friends
And relatives for nothing.

However we survive
With all odds.
However we remember
Destiny in memory.
However we hear
The sound of death.

Death is a stranger,
And we distribute sweets
To this stranger
With utmost care
And love.
We believe we will
Go through the jungle
But with love.
