22: 06

So many things to write about,
So much has gone on,
So many ways I could let you in,
So many ways to begin.

But I won't let you in,
I won't begin,
To tell you about myself,
Not while im in good health.

You'll never know me,
I'll never let you in,
You see thats just not like me,
Don't take it personally.

Yet when I'm old and frail,
And my mind becomes stale,
I'll be happy to share,
My times of dispair,

With you.

Thanks Mary, I appriciate your comment. I think that maybe people get more honest as they grow older because they don't feel the need any more to hide things or protect themselves so much, i suppose its more about just enjoying the rest of your life. Alex
Very nice poem. I liked it alot. Seems pretty true to life...older people get the more open with their lives they are.
