4th Of July (Political)

Light the match,
Ignite the fuse,
As the evening sky fills with its reds, whites, and blues.
Sparks fly, as colors light the night sky.
And the veterans play there war tune as they celebrate the freedom of liberty for which they risked their life.

A lovely poem that depicts the colourful commemoration of American Independence on 4th July annually and the celebration of all Sons And Daughters Of Liberty who put their lives on the line for freedom. A nice piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
Extraordinary! This says it very well what many of us mean bur do not speak.
Extremly Thoughtful and caring, I love the last line, in Canada we don't celebrate our nations birth on the same day as Vetrans (well their mentioned often) we save that for Rememberance Day. Both my great grandfathers were in world war two, so its something I respect.
Liked your poem, and especially that you honored our veterans, whom many of us don't take the time to thank. Captain Cur
