Poem By Jeff Law

Sitting on a public bench
Peoples faces a blur as quickly they pass
I try to memorize their facial expressions
but the image in my head it fails to last

Suddenly a beautiful woman brushes by me
Blush on her cheeks and dragging her feet
I blink and she is no longer an image
The sun blocks my eye, it all happened so fast

The clock is always against me
But people they act like the clock is not there
The minutes and seconds they taunt me through ticking
I wish I could be like others and not care

I am back on that bench
The sun tickles my shoulders and kisses my lips
But my shadow it hunts me, over and over
It darkens my view; it's an internal eclipse

It’s now become a rush
A rush to get done and put the future at bay
But the humid floor makes it sticky
And people express by in what that they say

But their expressions are merely in sound and in action
it’s like people need their own speech bubble or caption
to get his or her views through so that everyone’s even
Now isn’t that a view for people to start believing

My time is thinning
and I’m beginning to feel weary
and I’m seeing my life after then a bit more clearly
but wait

There is that woman; she’s standing a presence
her radiant eyes have me locked in her essence
I cannot write anymore, the clock has its revenge
for the woman is time and mines come to an end

Time is against us all, enjoy is whilst you have it.

i can name 5 things about this girls beauty
and all my words, i speak them truely
it's funny how one person in one letter
can make you understand this person better

struggling every day with these hard times
so i write in my black book, fill it with hard rhymes
but i crumble inside when the future is mentioned
and the way that you lack every detail of my attention

Flowers On Valentines

Valentine’s flowers, these don’t need any water
I hand this gift to the most beautiful daughter
In keeping these flowers alive, you surely can’t falter
The perfect gift for a perfect valentine, this moment needs no alter

1.Winter Night

In the cold and dark I see your light
With you in my vision I feel no fright
With you I can see clearly, you are my clear sight
In the cold and dark of this winter night

Grandfather Clock

Grandfather clock.
A second is a minute
With sixty seconds in it
So keep an eye on the clock

That special night when two are one
And one means you are whole
You’ll lie on cover and hug forever
Until the dawn does come.
