911

Out reach out stretched hand
Mercifully clinging to life
Do not let it slip

The whole worlds anguish
In a split second is numbed
A flash of terror

We forget the pain
And roughness humanity
To unite in cause

Life is hardest when
Terror strikes and panic sets
Brave are the living

It gradually slips
Like a crumbling tower
Life and hope are lost

Pride and spirit filled
American children’s flags
A picture of strength

Delaney cries woe
I wish I had understood
What he knew and felt

Bad things happened then
An American dark day
Spirit and strength unite

United we stand
How our nation remembers
We’ll never forget

Missy Lynn, I appreciate your sentiments, but pause a moment and look within.
