A Bullet Away

Poem By Melissa Hurst

My safe haven,
O sweet heaven,
just a bullet away.

The spirit that lingers
Within my entrails
Shall deliver me to the heights.

The spirit gnaws at my bowels
Casts a spell of despair upon my heart
O God how it tears my insides apart.

My sweet salvation,
O self-inflicted redemption,
just a bullet away.
