A Burner's Curse

Poem By Ash Tear

It was the type of silence that burns in my ear
Like the book I once set to flames
Flames, beautiful flames.
Warm and evening until you touch it
Pain shoot through you
Like adeline
That how you start.
You set fire to the metal
But it doesn't burn
It just heats up
That way you like it
Tears glistening down your face as you do so
You press the heat metal against your skin
Like you've done a hundreds times before
That smell of your burning flesh comforts you
But you don't want the smell
You want to pain! the agony!
Just one more time, you think.
But it not one more it's five
You're hooked
This is your curse

Been To Strong For To Long

I cried curled up in my mother's lap.
Does giving up mean you're weak I asked.
In you case it means you've been too strong for too long she repied.
