Ignoble Bonds

I love you, I am afraid,
not for your sake, but for my own.
How I long to free myself from this ignoble bond...
but the passion is too fierce to cope with.
Yet fate saw to it
that hundreds of miles lay between us.
Mired between your world and the next
all I can ask for Love,
is some sign of your devotion
anything to show
that this is not my imagination

Beautiful as usual i like it really! It is man who gets and forgets; It is man who takes and dies It is man who has made law and has destroyed everyone's peace. Amazing verses peace be upon you sir!
I like it so much, Thank you for sharing this great poem for God's gifts.
Yes, I agree with you. Only He cares about giving without taking. He takes care of everyone from everywhere....Have peace to you and your family and have a happy new year.....
God gave us a universe that could be heaven but for man and his greed which is a compulsion of unnecessary need for more, he destroys himself and anybody that is close to him in a spiral of destruction of his heart and soul. God is there for him always to enrich his life with the beauty of love and kindness! Superb write Sayeed and thanks for sharing!
