A Corridor Of Doubt

There’s a long dark corridor of doubt
That I just cannot live without
It haunts me every time I close my eyes
It’s a necessary sin
And a place I live within
And a library of all my deeds and lies

No light in there to comfort me
No place to go to set me free
And its length seems never ending all the while
So at the opening, I stall
With my back against the wall
And try and think of things to make me smile
