'Naff' comes back as 'cutting-edge'...
though dogs may have their day,
doggerel may have nine lives...
I guess it's here to stay...

Michael I thought that this verse had such hidden depth. I have been speaking to a person about everyday poetry, he now reads nothing else and even his ten year daughter is reading it in school. Then when I read this verse, well that said it all. I love it cheers Sylvie
I had no idea what I was looking for and found this by accident. A clever piece Michael. Here's a technical thought. Cats and not dogs have nine lives yet this fact does not, in any way, undermine the piece. How is that? A triumph of art over logic?
Never a truer word spoken in jest. 10 from me. Tai
I say: here, here! ! !
Alas, poor doggerel, we knew him well?
