A Desire

Whenever a flower
It takes care
To look smart, fresh,
Pleasing and memorable;
For it knows that
It blooms only once
During its sojourn on earth.
Why should I not,
When my poetic feelings
Gush to the surface,
Produce pearls of excellence
For all to treasure?

yes, there you are, poet must bloom with its fragrance spreading all across the space and time as the desire being divine, wonderful aspiration awe-inspiring, yet ingenious write,10++++, thanks for sharing
why not? only thus a poet blooms.... through his words...fresh...pleasing... memorable, like a blooming flower.
A desire must bloom more than once, It should fill many vases and leave an enticing aroma to bloom again. It is why we write. To plant the seed of desire in all. Good job
You have a soft way of getting us to think about what we do. The next time we look at flowers, your words should spring to mind.
Why not indeed? A soft little poem with a tender heart. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
