A Farm-Picture

THROUGH the ample open door of the peaceful country barn,
A sun-lit pasture field, with cattle and horses feeding;
And haze, and vista, and the far horizon, fading away.

A real poem.I found it very interesting.....
Beautiful and serene, Whitman has always been able to capture imagery with the vivid use of description. He is able to take you to places, revealing a warmth and a sadness.
A stunning portrait of a vast farm with cattle and horses in the pasture.
Short yet one of the best poems of Walt Whitman.....
Fading away! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
