A Flower Given To My Daughter

Poem By James Joyce

Frail the white rose and frail are
Her hands that gave
Whose soul is sere and paler
Than time's wan wave.

Rosefrail and fair -- yet frailest
A wonder wild
In gentle eyes thou veilest,
My blueveined child.

Lovely one. Thanks........
A father love for his daughter knowing she gave to this world which is frail, trying to heal the wrongs a fragile child against the worlds way, became obsessed and veiled to the world somewhat like the Amish believe * The Devil's Play ground*
