A Flower Just Died Today

And a flower
Just died today
She did wilt
Who once
Lived to hilt
Had rich essence
A colourful presence
On fault lines
Had found
It's place.

It sung along
The wild winds
Heat and
Weathers rough

Not in your
Gardens, or
Expensive vase
Part of a bouquet
Was not to be
Her craze

To be born free
Her fate and destiny
Now sapped by Sun
It lies upturned
Crushed in the sand
Quiet burial
Fertile land
