A Gathering Of Empty Coffee Cups

We are now down to the ends of things!
My dwindling and steadfast compatriots
Maybe it is now we know
What we had had?

We taste it now more lavishly!
Tis true - tis true

Is there not much else to do?

And if our cups run empty
Just a little tad sooner
What of it!

gee, this poem makes me ponder. let me read it again. okay. and i just noticed the poet note; thanks for that. i've had a lot, mostly good enough for me. my cup isn't empty yet, but i don't mind if it is soon. mostly it's just my (fourth) wife, my one child, a few good friends (on and off of ph) , and the curiosity of seeing what happens next in this world that keep me going. oh, and my volunteer work. and SOMETIMES my wife has a negative effect on me, but i KNOW she could not live without me! ha ha. thanks for sharing. i wonder how old/young YOU are. ;) bri
