A Gift

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

Everyday when one awakens,
To first pray in a thankfulness.
As some may do this.
While others forget.
Hopefully it dawns upon them,
With an acknowledgement...
The morning was not guaranteed,
As a gift for them to receive.
No, it was not.
Nor was the opportunity given again,
For themTo take for granted...
A life many choose to easily dismissed.
