A Gilded Cage

A Gilded Cage

Poem By Doris Cornago

Freedom in a gilded cage
Is no freedom at all
My wings cropped
Beaks glued shut
Life is a flicker
Ghosts saunter
Nowhere to go
But down

Hi Luis. The poem is a bait for conversation, so I don't give all and be tiresome. I give space for the reader to come in and be comfortable. As you did. Thank you.: -)
I can see this. In a cage, there is not freedom; it does not matter how you look at it. I though you could have done a bit more with this short poem, but this is only my taste. In the whole you did well. PS I have a book of poems in kindle. If you wish a copy, go to Amazon.com and type my name Luis A. Estable or the name of the book. One Hundred Sonnets, Book Two. I'm like you to pass the word and if you could, leave a few words after reading. Thanks and keep it up
