A Glimmer Of Hope

Poem By Carmina Abrenica

An earnest poem, where art thou?
From a heart's longing, to you I avow
Deaf to a plea like bricks unbaked
I wish to read whilst life's awake

A penned craft I can see myself solely
In every song of dusk and word of dawn
Like my portrait that you painted vividly
As thine own heart a shelter to a fawn

Alas, silent tears will fall time and again
Pen and paper mettre à part constantly
My soul begets lasting peace until then
As reflection's aglow like crystalline sea

Once There Was A Friend

Here's to the friends I got along
In a time with the notion we belong
To the pages we shared for long
All ended up with a painful song

The Gesture

Your hazel eyes in luster
Enraptures my every stare
The echo of your laughter
A zephyr I listen to so rare

The Call

The pink-tinged cloud thwart the sea
Gestured hope from a promising plea
The grain of sand I felt as I walked t'wards thr shore
Tickled a wish that I may be with the one I adore

Let Me Be

Let me be your cup of coffee
You delight in every single day
Making you perpetually happy
Giving your gentle heart a sway

Thinking Of You

I think of you wherever I go
As the wind shall sweetly blow
I miss you, and we both know
My heart fonder it will grow

In The Heart Of The Sea

Our eyes sparkled
As the sea rippled
We walked hand in hand
Barefoot on the sand
