' A Grown-Up Child

A poet is a grown-up child, anyhow,
He couldn’t compose, otherwise…
A poet is an adorer of queerness,
A bit - willful, a bit - precise…

“Hunting is a game of chance, ”
We’ve forgotten that well-known phrase,
And we must remember that kids
Are forbidden to play such games.

Hunting is a game of chance. Story continues. Beautiful.
Apt for poemhunter too! I like d quirkiness of poets. Nice poem! Do read me too.
So true and so well stated. I like, I like! And I see a good many others agree. Read mine - A Writer's Dilemma - Adeline
Perhaps poets retain some of the innocence of children and feel free to say what they thinks M lady
