A Healing Kiss

Poem By Valsa George

Bearing a crown of thorns
Someone planted a kiss
Scarring my face, the spikes
Pricked deep, letting
A stream of blood down

But,

Like a gush of summer rain
It cooled my smouldering spirits
Slumbered my frayed nerves
And loosened my taut muscles!

He that wears a crown of thorns often suffers that others not, and when he tried to kiss, no wonder, it provided a soothing balm. A lovely short poem
Like a gush of summer rain.......significant. anjandev roy.
Very emotional words...pain and pleasure are always inseparable..no exception with love too...a poem that deserves a whole 10
There is love behind pain. It has been so nicely delineated in this poem. I quote....... Like a gush of summer rain It cooled my smouldering spirits Slumbered my frayed nerves And loosened my taut muscles! A beautiful poem shared amazingly.10
