A Hearts Lost Love

Poem By Amanda Edwards

I’ve loved you for many years
These tears
Streaming down my face
Every thought of you
Makes my heart race
I wish I’d had the strength
To look you in the face
And not lie to you
I wish I’d told you
That there is a place
And now a empty space
For you in my heart
My heart
The one I would not let you have
I was once mad
But now I’ am sad
I had so much fear
To let you hear
The truth
Which I’ve buried
It’s so scary
The truth
I’ am no longer
Strong
You have moved on
And I was wrong
I don’t want to sound sappy
But I want nothing
Except you happy

A fool
That’s what I feel I’ve been
