A Letter To My Darling

Poem By Jennifer Gordon

A letter to my darling
To my love,
I never thought that I could spout such truth until the day I finally stopped thinking of you.
I wish I hated you.
I am almost there.
Like the words on the tip of my tongue
But I wait and I wait, yet I don’t grow young
You’ll be the death of me you know.
Truth be told.
And I hate you for it.
Yet I love you the same.
The sad, pathetic truth that I have become
Waiting for the rain to fall in a drought of eternal damnation.
Waiting for you to run into me and say hello
Waiting where the sun don’t shine.
And I love you, the same.
And I need you to know.
Even if you will never care
Which is something I can’t bare.
I leave with no proposition because I have no hope.

I can’t believe you did this to me.

The clouds and the colors are no longer
I feel so on top

I am sorry that i will never be good enough.
I am sorry that i did something wrong.
I am sorry that for some reason you feel this way.
I am sorry that i make you cry.

Like a thorn
that's in too deep
and me to weak
so all I do is pluck and pleek,

Romeo, Oh Romeo

Pressing down
ripped away my drown
Romeo pushed me off the balcony.
Threw me into the tears from an overtired dream.

I shake
I quake
until I finally wake.
Locked in this box.

I don't know what is wrong.
I can't even find the words to write this song.
I don't know what to say.
my heart is pounding the beat is sounding,
