A Liar

My hopes expire:
You trust in the one who proves.
And I'm a liar,
Since nobody needs the truth.

Truth is painful, so people avoid it.Thanks for this one!
You are the last truth-teller, but since no one else believes in the truth and since lies proliferate everywhere, there no longer exists any objective measurement by which you could show how wrong they are. In this society in which lies are all people know, they will eventually accuse you of lying. And they have one thing right: You stand alone and steadfast in witness to the truth everyone has lost. But it won't help you in the least, because now they'll call you a CRAZY PERSON as well as a LIAR.
