A Lingering Fragrance

A dreamlike memory
live on in the bones,
an instant in a life
where something came alive,
a moment of poetic presence,
I still taste its fleshiness
and the blood red beauty
of that ravishing day,
it's fragrance still lingers
like a morning in childhood,
a degree of its loveliness
will never pass away.

I love those moments when the true spirit emerges from people or nature. A flower unfolding or love blossoming moments that live on in our bones forever
The eternity of trivial single moments painted so sensitively.
Sometimes a song, even the touch of a warm breeze on your face, rewards you with fond memories. The triggers are often unexpected but the pleasure is still there. I like this poem Norah. Well done, once again. Tom Billsbprough
