A Little Girl Lost

A Little Girl Lost

Abandoned to sadistic streets,
A school room of sullen tears,
A little girl lost beneath
A blanket of rejection and fears
Moves slowly through
The lonely night;
The effects of drugs
Are wearing off…

And dawn has no promise
Of sunlight and pleasant songs.

...a powerful poem.......
it's such a pleasure to read your work again. This is very touching, as most of your work is. It grabs the emotions, shakes them up, and allows us to feel... Excellent, as usual. Warmest regards, CJ Heck
Very good writing...and true; also, sad. 'Little One, Little Voice' is about what we see happening with children today; 'Inside Her Little World'..thank you...10 for this and probably for others of yours...
It's so hard to imagine that so many young and older women are living this reality. I know several women in this situation right now, here in Calgary, Alberta. A sad but lovely piece. Thankyou-----Melvina
