A Little Light Musing

Light gleams along the laughing lips
that smile from secret shadows
in the corners of the world;
watching eyes sparkle
in the night lights of
a thousand million stars
some burnt out
and forgotten
their last vital flicker
dancing over lovers
and their sweat.
Headlights flash, refracting
off the mirrors and the
windows of the world
sending brief
illumination deep
into the surreptitious
caves of passion
night gives home to.
Shine, gleam, flicker
on and off switch
of swift vision
painting shape and texture
in the air
a slow dimension
to be tasted briefly,
dreamscape sweet,
then on
til morning.

This is a fun poem to read rippling to the end, the words falling easily from my mouth. I'm glad I got a chance to read this.
