A Lover's Complaint

FROM off a hill whose concave womb reworded
A plaintful story from a sistering vale,
My spirits to attend this double voice accorded,
And down I laid to list the sad-tuned tale;
Ere long espied a fickle maid full pale,
Tearing of papers, breaking rings a-twain,
Storming her world with sorrow's wind and rain.

The complaint is a genre of poetry popular in Elizabethan times. In these type poems there was usually a rural setting, shepherds and shepherdesses flitting and flirting all over the meadows, and woe-be-gone lovers lamenting all over the place as well.
The plight of a lover has been expressed hauntingly, touchingly and astutely by William Shakespear.

I've noticed an error in transcription maybe? It is my understanding that this poem is supposed to be written in iambic pentameter, however, one line (I haven't read the whole thing) has 11 syllables. But there is only supposed to be 10 in each line.
