A Martyr’s Point Of View

Poem By Eli MorenoDrew

From a martyr’s point of view,
I’ve messed up things countless times.
Some you’ve noticed, some you haven’t.
But what keeps me in awe,
A truly happy state of confusion,
Is that the words, “I love you” are spoken
tenderly from your soft lips whenever necessary.
And through all my blunders and mishaps,
You continue to warm my heart with your love.
So lead me to your heart,
Guide me through your ventricles, through your deepest desires
And grant me the permission to fulfill them.
