Dark Angel

Poem By Angel Croshier

A taste
Of summer's
Stifling heat and humidity
Has arrived in Hangzhou
This late afternoon
As I sit
Under the locust tree
The air is heavy
Shimmering waves of heat
Rise from the nearby road
And in the haze
Two cabbage butterflies
Slowly dance
A minuet
In midair.
