A Night's Residence

When the earth devoured the last ray of sunshine and moonlight splattered its geniality…
I walked out to give the emptiness an unfinished stroke of company…
The shining gems on my skirt swayed like a midnight summer song…
And the leaves danced through lifelessly with the lyrics sung all wrong…
The night was meaningless without the ocean of your blue eyes…
And the wind hushed the echoes of my swallowed deep sighs…
And then I saw you rushing through like cold fire through the trees…
The sight of you pleased my heart like a sweet petal to a gentle breeze…
And as I fell helplessly in the shadow of a playing graceful moon…
A strong rhythm grabbed me while I slowly swooned…
It was like the earth had bowed its artistic dream a little dent…
And the canal of wishes had finally granted the reverie that I dreamt…
The street light sprayed us a shower as we grabbed the empty stage…
My bewildered life finally, found the right page…
And as we dance through the trance and the moonlight shaded us right…
I looked up at my window…to wave reality a final goodbye…
And as the world famished our presence through its hasty pace…
The sweetness of the magic tarnished our last trace…
And as the little drops of god’s tears washed off the ink…
The book was left empty, just to start again…
