Tears Make No Sound

In this small darkened room
All alone, except a memory found
I hear the night cries for daybreak
But the tears make no sound.

Dreams melt by flickering candlelight
This night, an ending song uncrowned
It cries deep below the surface
But the tears make no sound

Morning comes before it's over
The reminiscing song, a muted buzz all around
The cries are inside the minds of many
But their tears make no sound

I pray for tears that sound like the rainfall
I pray to hear its songs inside my head forlorn
So dream away the night, but waken carefully
Mourning always comes before the dawn
