A Painting Fit For A King

A Painting Fit For A King

you rescued me from myself,
a true knight in shining armour,
I’d think of you and happy thoughts would follow in suit,
not a bad memory to hamper the perfect picture.
now the canvas is dirty,
the happy people are crying.
summery pastels turned darkened chalks,
bright blue skies hold thunderous clouds of dismay,
but the damsel in distress, won't let it end this way.
