A Picture

Poem By okoye charles

The moon rises in a darkened scene
In circle of grey, in black and white
A melancholic skies, the eyes do capture
A haunted portrait hanging on the walls of the heart.

Imagine each star as a brilliant flash;
A flower dazzling the mind with its petals?
Imagine the planets posing with you;
A beautiful model, surrounded by hungry beggars?

Do you not wish for a horse;
A ride far away from these blind lenses,
From these dead clicks and hollow pictures;
To the light, to the friendly images of your senses?

Or Do you stand and pose, smiling
At the camera, at the dying world
And capture the fleeting moment, hoping
That a picture will not tell a thousand words?

Comments about A Picture

Still, a piece of wondrous magnitude, such that my soul truly flew there!
The moon rises in a darkened scene In circle of grey, in black and white A melancholic skies, the eyes do capture A haunted portrait hanging on the walls of the heart. i like the beginning of the poem due to the phrases and epithets created by the poet.....it is extraordinary...and needs some merit which the poet has in abandon............
nice lines bt needs some work on it
nice poem, the first few verses need a revisit
I think there are a couple of grammar points in verses one and two that need ironing out and then this would be excellent. It's still good!

Please Dear Ebony,
Answer me these questions, I pray;

Do you miss me a little; lying on the shores of your heart,

Ufoma,

Naked I stand among the palm,
