A Place That We Belong

Look up in the skies,
the night is almost peeled
from eyelid of time
in the sand in the skies,
diamond blossoms are
blooming
the clouds are breaking,
as moonlight dresses
the midnight lands.
now let's recommence
leave your sorrows behind
there is a place I know of
a place that we belong
where the mortals
had long ceased
to slumber like stones
for fear of doing nothing
chilled them to the bone
that no quake nor storm
could mount to sink
what permits them
to reach the upmost
I know a place
I know a place.
there our lives will be made
like limbs from a broken
bough,
we will build
a canoe of faith
and rivers of our sweat
will carry us nowhere
but the harbours we quest.
struggles that will be sown
there on our own
will toil within our souls
tutoring purity of
sacrifice and strength
the trees of liberty
upward will rise
and spray their petals
so vibrant and bright.
so come with me dear
I've grown weary of my fears
there's a luggage of hope
and moonbeams
inside my hands
carrying my will
towards that place
a place where the mortals strive
for passion not slaves
where thousand bricks
of failure builds
an edifice of success
