A Place To Call Home

I'll wake up.
This broken smile cracks the sky.
In time, I'll feel alright,
but tonight- I'm just alone.

Take me,
bring me down.
I'm floating above the ground
where I don't belong.

Raise this Earth;
I'm just too young.
Hold my breath
as it all comes undone.

Would you consider my burdened soul?
Lift me up among the shivering cold.
I've seen your face in lucid dreams
as my blood colors the purest streams.

Oh, I'm feeling quite passive.
A thousand tounges have done me wrong.
My weary heart avenges, the suffering is slanted,
and I'm choking for a place to call home.
