A Privilege To Have Worked

A Privilege To Have Worked

Poem By Doris Cornago

Be the authentic you when you decide who
Tell me who you are and I'll decide what
These things we have formed for two
Can as well be done by one of us
Fill in the blanks, we've passed
This way before, if there's
Some left, tell me
If not, just sign
On the dot
Say thanks
A privilege to
Have worked with
Really a pleasure to
Know you and know myself
A quick hug, smile then look away
Don't put out yourself like some beggar
Every breakup taught me a lot about myself

The pyramids are a lasting testimonial of kings who have once ruled Egypt, but they have died long ago. For a love that had withstood difficulties, what will be the lasting testimony? Others will choose to obliterate memories of a failed love affair but some will choose to keep mementos and keepsakes of the loved one, like photographs.
