Encroaching doom,

Someday

Someday I will close the window.
Forget everything that's outside.
Sing a happy tune,
and feel a little better.

A Poor Girl

Oh, woe is me.
Trapped in the frugal life of a poor girl.
A mendicant to the rich snobs.
Strictured in a house, filled with palid dust.

Anorexic Storm

Sound of thunder filling your ears,
but for a different reason.
No storm of wind or rain.
Just hunger clouding your thoughts and brain.

Conscious

I talk to you all the time,
and tell you all my secrets.
What I tell you is top secret.
No one will ever know.

Perfection?

But since when has the prince ever looked at you?
