A Registered Vegetarian

Poem By Pete Crowther

At the tender age of twelve
my daughter, bless her,
was registered as a vegetarian.
She was duly accredited
with the appropriate documents
and vaccinated with chlorophyll.
Now she is authorized
to eat zucchinis, papayas
and winter cabbages
not to mention
French beans, celeriac
and best of all—
mouth-watering mangold wurzel.

unique, interesting and delicious.
As someone who put my parents through the same thing (and still a registered veggie) I found this hilarious. Hugs Anna xxx
This is great, funny and full of ironic affection
My daughter also registered as a vegetarian about 6 months ago (age 13) . Can make it difficult at meal times. I agree with Marks comments. Great wording.
very nice work, Peter. lovely wording and rhythm.
