A Sleigh

A Sleigh

A sleigh slid past me in the pretty snow
And oh it put on such a show.
It's horse pulled and pulled the sleigh
And the snow pushed aside in play.

This sleigh was very pretty in slight.
It didn't suffer any plight.
I wondered where it was going
Upward through the night.

It was Santa's sleigh
I figured out.
And then I looked around the night
And shouted out.

I told Santa my street address.
He looked down at me and nodded yes.
The horse and sleigh took a turn
And there it stood at my chimney.
