A Stranger In Millstreet

The years have left me older and balder and more gray
And perhaps I'd be a stranger in Millstreet today
A stranger in Millstreet from here far away
Who is he the old stranger young locals would say?
A stranger in Millstreet where i lived years ago
Not many there now of me would even know
The Millstreet i knew it has changed so i hear
But a place to my heart that remains ever near,
The babe when i left has now grown to a man
Some changes occur in a twenty year span
In two decades of years many Seasons have gone
But life in the old Town as usual goes on
And through the old fields by the Town and by many a hedgerow
Old Finnow to the Blackwater as ever does flow.
