A Stranger In Town

Where everyone are seeking their own renown
She is in her sixties a stranger in town
With a brown hair dye she does cover her gray
But otherwise she does age in a natural way,
Tis what you'd call a closely knit community
Which makes it harder for an ageing outsider such as she
To find a few friends where her's is a strange face
Where she plans for to settle and call her homeplace
A mother and grandmother she once was a wife
But now she feels happy in her single life
With her share of her divorce settlement she has bought a home in this town
And she does not seek fortune or fame or renown
But just to strike up a friendship with like minded kind
Though compatible friends are not easy to find.
