A Study In Murder

Silent and still, the trees are Watching.
Watching without eyes.
Silent and still, the trees are Watching.
Watching as a human dies.

Bright and quick, a blade is Flashing.
Flashing into its sleeve.
Bright and quick, a blade is Flashing.
Flashing without obliquy.

Soft and dark, a cloak is Whipping.
Whipping past a lifeless brow.
Soft and dark, a cloak is Whipping.
Whipping by without a sound.
