A Summers Day In Winter

It was a summers day in winter.
And the rain was snowing fast.
A bare foot boy with boats on.
Stood, sitting in the grass.

I just came across this poem that I got from a midwife a few years ago. She said that her Scottish grandmother used to recite it to her when she was a little girl. I liked it so I thought I’d share it with you. It was a summers day in winter The rain was snowing fast A bare foot girl with shoes on Stood sitting in the grass It was evening and the sun was set And all the little fishes Where cuddled in their nests
