A Thorn Among My Treasures

Poem By Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Yesterday I thought I
Must flee this earth
To escape the memory of you
And yet today, as I am living still,
You are the vaguest
Of my memories
A common thing among my early pleasures
A thorn among my treasures.
