A Touch Brings Life

Poem By Tara McH

It only takes a single touch

from someone who loves,

to make the world
start all over again,
unfurled,
undecided,
undivided,
a whole new place,
seen with a different face....

smile!
It may take some while
but tomorrow is another day

and we know what it might bring,
or not bring.

A death
or a bunch of flowers.

A second
or hours of ours.

It only takes a single touch

from someone
who might love too much.

A Dawn Of.... Uncertainty?

I am not sure, at dawn cannot be sure;
perhaps my newly-recovered soul leads to egocentricity,
but it feels the birds, chitter-chattering in grandeur
as though they direct their sweet, individual voices just to me;

What, I ponder, are the antonyms of how I feel and am today?
(The antonyms I left behind when synonyms came my way) .

We can all make mistakes
and end up broken,
digging our own graves,
lives forsaken.
