A Tragedy

Poem By Candice LeBlanc

It cannot be held
Cannot be touched
Cannot be let go of
A tragedy
It drags down your heart
Makes you cry
Come unraveled
A tragedy
Hurts even worse
When it isn't yours
It's like a knife
That drags through your skin
Because you can't help them
That lump in your throat
Is from sorrow and pain
But none of which is yours
A tragedy
Is left unborn, untarnished, unpitied
A tragedy,
This tragedy
Is the knife in my head
The knife in their hand
Cutting as deep as they can
Trying to overcome it
This tragedy
Has no beginning
Nor end
This tragedy
Will always live

Comments about A Tragedy

I like reading a nice tirade sometimes, when like with this, the flow is effectively quick.

A gift to the world
Taken away
